3M environmental safety product. 3M Static Resistant Petroleum sorbents are specifically designed to be used for the safe cleanup of highly flammable petroleum-based liquids. Sorbs hydrocarbon based liquids (oleophilic) and repels aqueous based liquids (hydrophobic). They are specially treated to resist static charge build-up and can be used effectively and efficiently when conditions are likely to produce static arcing, such as when relative humidity is low (below 20 percent) or when temperatures fall below freezing. 3M static resistant petroleum sorbents sorb up to twice as much oil and flammable liquid by weight as standard melt-blown static resistant sorbents on land and on water. Application: workplace safety. White color. Features: static resistant. Product form: rolls. Recommended industry: agriculture, automotive, chemicals, construction, general manufacturing, healthcare, military, mining, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, primary metals, transportation. Measures 144-feet length by 38-inches width. Warning: Failure to properly handle and dispose of sorbents contaminated by hazardous materials can result in serious physical injury or death and/or environmental harm. For proper handling, consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for the material absorbed. To reduce the risk of serious physical injury or death, always use respiratory protection and protective clothing appropriate for handling the material to be absorbed. Transportation and disposal of spent sorbents must comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Caution: Sorbents may become slippery when used on flooring. Do not walk on sorbents or place in high traffic areas.
