The Alemite 1056-s4 heavy-duty grease gun delivers lubricant at pressures up to 10, 000 psi (pounds per square inch) at a rate of 1 oz per 16 strokes at a high-volume mode and 1 oz per 25 strokes at a high-pressure mode. It can load lubricant three ways: 14 oz cartridge, suction, or fast refill from an Alemite loader pump. A dual lever mechanism makes it possible to choose either high-volume output or high-pressure delivery mode. This grease gun's die cast steel head and heavy-duty construction provide for its durability and its zinc plating makes it resistant to corrosion. The lower portion of the gun lever has a vinyl cover, which makes it easier to grip. The patented follower allows cartridge or bulk loading without gun disassembly. A bleeder Valve prevents building up excessive pressure in the cylinder. The 1/8 inch NPTF gun Outlet accommodates various extensions. This grease gun is used for lubricating standard grease fittings and is suitable for applications such as lubrication of all types of vehicles, construction equipment, factory and agricultural machinery, and aeronautics, among others. Alemite heavy-duty Series grease guns are made for the lubrication professional, providing guaranteed performance in severe conditions. These grease guns have die cast steel or cast iron heads and rugged body and follower construction to meet the toughest lubrication challenges. Oil and grease guns are hand-held tools that inject lubricant (oil or grease dispensed from the Barrel or cylinder cartridge) into metal mechanical assemblies. Electric and air-powered grease guns can dispense large volumes of lubricant in commercial applications, while battery-powered (cordless) grease guns are more suitable for mobile and remote applications. Manual grease guns (lever, pistol-grip, screw-type, push-type, and suction) vary in duty and have either a rigid or flexible hose extension for attaching nozzles or a nozzle with coupler for standard grease fittings.
