The Guard Dog GD5X125-O/B polyurethane heavy duty 5 channel cable protector has open top channels covered by a lid with reinforced fiberglass hinges to protect cables, electrical cords, and hoses with an outside diameter of up to 1.33"/34 mm from wear and compression caused by vehicular traffic (up to 21,000 lb./9,526 kg per axle) while helping to reduce the danger posed by loose cables in the path of pedestrians. Its contrasting orange and black colors help reduce the risk of pedestrian tripping accidents. The cable protector has two dog-bone shaped connectors on each side (two male connectors on one side and two female connectors on the other) for interlocking multiple connectors to extend coverage across wide passages. This cable protector is manufactured using a process called Reaction Injection Molding (RIM), which results in a consistency beneficial when connecting multiple protectors. The polyurethane used is nonconductive, UV-stabilized, and resistant to damage from abrasion, oils, and solvents. The surface of the ramps and lid has a patented five-bar tread pattern for traction, molded safety symbols that meet American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z535.3-1991 standards, and a 1.25 x 2.25"/31.8 x 57.2 mm (H x W) smooth area for adhering a barcode label or radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag to assist with managing inventory. The cable protector has four through-holes with an inside diameter of .21"/5.3 mm for temporary mounting with nails or screws, and pry slots near the holes to aid in removal. A recessed handle on the underside of the protector allows for easy transport. This cable protector is suitable for use in amusement parks, entertainment venues, sporting events, and in most indoor and outdoor public, commercial, industrial, construction, and utility applications. When used according to manufacturer’s recommendations. They can also improve pedestrian safety by helping to decrease the risk of tripping over cables crossing paths or aisles. Open top cable protectors are placed on a floor or outdoor surface, and cables are laid into open top channels then covered with a hinged lid. Each cable is separated and organized in its own protective channel and ramps on either side of the channels ease passage over the cables. Cable protectors are suitable for use in public, commercial, and industrial applications where cables, cords, and hoses need to extend across an area pedestrians may pass or vehicles might drive over.Checkers Industrial Safety Products manufactures and distributes a variety of products including cable management systems, wheel chocks, and warning whips for manufacturing, mining, aviation, military, construction, and entertainment applications.
