The Starrett Duratec SFB carbon steel band saw blade has a regular tooth, raker set, and a neutral rake angle for cuts on aluminum, other nonferrous metals, and wood. The blade is good for contour and straight cuts on a variety of machines. The regular tooth has a neutral rake angle for general-purpose and light-duty cutting. It is made of carbon steel with a flexible back that resists breakage when making curved cuts. The blade has a raker set, which alternates between left-leaning, right-leaning, and unset teeth, for increased chip evacuation that reduces clogging.Band saw blades are long, continuous bands of metal that loop around the wheels of band saws and can make straight or curved cuts in metal, wood, stone, plastic, and other materials.
