The 969-FR adds a neck shade that attaches via a hook-and-loop closure, shielding the neck from sunlight. Just soak the pads in cold water for 10-20 minutes, and the cooling crystals activate, staying hydrated for anywhere from 4 hours to several days, depending on conditions.
