The Weiler trimmable Tiger type 29 angled-style zirconia alumina abrasive flap disc has a composite backing that can be trimmed to extend the life of the disc and a threaded hole for attachment to grinding tools, and works well on curved surfaces. The zirconia alumina abrasive is self-sharpening and more durable than aluminum oxide, which makes it suitable for fast material removal rates and aggressive grinding. The disc's backing can be trimmed up to 3/8" from its original diameter. This exposes more abrasive, which extends disc life and allows greater flexibility into hard-to-reach areas than discs without a trimmable backing. Applications include weld blending, deburring, deflashing, edge chamfering, stock removal, and grinding and finishing in one step. The disc has an angled shape and is commonly used with right-angle grinders at a 15- to 35-degree angle to dissipate heat.
